Brautigam’s mozart cycle continues to go from strength to strength, with a lovely singing tone, intelligent phrasing and well-judged tempi. The opening of the D minor concerto is dark and operatic, the excellent players revelling in the drama in which they share, while the high spirits which close the B flat concerto are delightful. Watch out for the next one!
