The subtle, non-treble-dominated approach taken by Tonus Peregrinus in Music from the Eton Choirbook gladdens the heart. in a wonderful programme of Lambe, Davy and Browne et al (including the recorded premiere of Kellyk’s gorgeous Magnificat à 5), ending with Wylkinson’s curious Credo in Deum Canon à 13, they radiate delight in the music with exemplary accuracy and delicacy of interpretation.
